Global Mala 2014

≤ Global Mala ≥

Vulcan Park 9.20.14

With all the violence going on in the world it's important to set aside time to release positive energy and focus on ones inner peace.  This month marks the biannual solstice, as well as the yearly celebration of this astronomical event.  The Global Mala Project is a selfless service where all who take part do so to spread positive energy toward global peace.  This Saturday's event is from 8 to 10 A.M. with an end goal of completing 108 sun salutations in two hours.  However, this is not required nor is it expected.  The most important part is trying to do as many as you can for yourself and for global peace.  Whether you do 8 or 108, you are still spreading more positive energy than if you hadn't done any at all.  So please come out this Saturday to spread whatever amount of energy you have.  I promise you will leave with more energy than you came with.

Hope to see everyone this Saturday!!

Below are videos and images to give you a better idea of the Global Mala Event.

What is a Sun Salutation?  Here a quick video to give you more insight.

What is a solstice?  An astronomical event that occurs twice a year as the sun reaches its highest or lowest excursion relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere.  The solstices, together with the equinoxes, are connected with the seasons.
